Meet Dr. Gwyneth Newcomb: Experienced Audiologist

Dr. Gwyneth Newcomb, Au.D., CCC-A is a premier audiologist who has been providing the Bowie, Greenbelt, Annapolis, Crofton, Odenton and Washington, D.C. areas with premium hearing services for more than 28 years. A native of the Washington, D.C. area, Dr. Newcomb graduated with a bachelor's degree in Hearing and Speech from the University of Maryland and a master's degree in Audiology from Northwestern University in Illinois. She then went on to the Arizona School of Health Sciences for her doctoral studies in audiology.

Before opening the Bowie Hearing Center, Dr. Newcomb was a clinical supervisor and instructor for the Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences at the University of Maryland. She also completed a clinical fellowship with the Montgomery County Health Department in Silver Spring.

Dr. Newcomb and her staff work to stay on the cutting edge of technology. As part of this effort, they attend regular seminars and training sessions at which new developments are discussed.

Meet the Staff at Bowie Hearing Center

Marci Smith, M.A., CCC-A,  FAAA

Ms. Marci Smith has been an Audiologist at the Bowie Hearing Center since 2008.  She received her Bacholor's Degree from the University of Maryland in Hearing and Speech Science and her Masters from George Washington University in Audiology. Prior to working at the Bowie Hearing Center, Ms. Smith was working at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.  She is a native of Delaware.  She interests include running, cooking, reading and keeping up with her two children and all of their activities.

Carol Norment

Mrs. Carol Norment has been the office manager at Bowie Hearing Center since 1998, handling all phone appointments, insurance processing, and customer care. She previously worked at a prominent podiatrist's office in Bowie for more than four years. Her interests include playing bridge, visiting her grandchildren, and perusing craft shows with her friends.

Jo Reiter

Mrs. Jo Reiter has been an office assistant at the Bowie Hearing Center since 1995. Patients who call or stop by will find Jo at the front desk helping with customer care. Her interests include visiting family and friends, as well as taking road trips to Virginia Beach.
